An Arlington man sustained fatal wounds while attempting to cross I-395 by foot. The 64-year-old tried to cross the highway unsuccessfuly on Tuesday afternoon and was hit in Arlington near the Glebe Road exit. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash, and authorities are unsure why he was crossing the roadway. According to news reports, the driver who hit the pedestrian stopped at the scene of the accident and stayed with the victim until emergency crews arrived.
